Gosh! This mid-term election is SUCH a quandary!
Do I vote for the guy who plans to backrupt my state or the gal who hopes to repeal the constitution?
Who better reflects my family's values and beliefs? The dude determined to dismantle our liberties, or the devious dame with the deviant business dealings?
Hmmm...Stalin or Hitler? Kitten Kicker or Puppy Beater?

This is my take on what's wrong with American politics:
The Democrats are basically nice, intelligent people who want to help the poor and middle class and have a pretty good idea how to do that. Unfortunately, they're incompetent. Like, monumentally incompetent. Like they only have one bullet and they have to keep it in their shirt pocket incompetent.
The Republicans, on the other hand, are totally and completely competent. And evil.
And now, of course, we also have the Tea Partiers to consider. These are a group of self-proclaimed "ordinary Americans" who have boundless enthusiasm and strong ideas about right and wrong. They also have no clue whatsoever about how government actually works. Plus they're insane.
SO, what this election really boils down to is Barney Fife vs. the Dark Candidates of the Sith vs. the Mad Hatter.
If the potential consequences weren't so serious,
this could be fun.
Hmmm...as far as I can tell from the campaign ads saturating our airwaves, Democrats are Kitten Kickers and Republicans are Puppy Beaters.
Or maybe Republicans are the Kitten Kickers and Democrats are the Puppy Beaters...
I think everybody should sit down and chat quietly over a cup of coffee and a cannoli.Hard to stay mad when there are cannolis.
You know, you always talk about cannolis and I don't even know what a cannoli is. Is it like manicotti at all?
Mmmm...cannolis are crisp shells filled with a sweetened ricotta cheese and sprinkled with confectioner's sugar. The fillings can be chocolate, pistachio, almond, vanilla - whatever makes you happy. Cannolis are a little bit of heaven on earth.
So, nothing like manicotti except that both are filled, and rarely leftover.
